Alex Servais

Alexandre Louis "Alex" Servais (born March 2, 1896 in Luxembourg, died December 17, 1949 in Leysin) - a Luxembourg athlete, sprinter and spearman. Participant of the 1920 Olympics. At the Olympic Games in Antwerp in 1920 he took part in the 100-meter run, javelin throw, as well as in the relay 4 × 100 meters (in the team together with Jean Proes, Jean Colbach and Paul Hammer). In the 100 m race he took the fifth, last place in his qualifying run and did not advance to the quarterfinals. In the javelin throw competition, he threw 40.08 m in the qualification, not reaching the final and finished the competition on the 21st place. In the semi-final relay race he and his team took second place with 44.4 seconds, which promoted to the final, in which the team from Luxembourg took the last, 6th place with time of 43.6 seconds. Saved in translation - a book by Stanisław Barańczak, dealing with the theory of translation, first published in 1992. The first edition consisted of three parts, the latest edition was supplemented by two additional parts. The book opens with the "Small but Maximal Translatological Manifesto" - an essay in which Barańczak presents his theories of translation of poems, pointing to problems, mistakes most often made by translators and his own solutions, using examples of foreign and personal translations. In this essay, the concept of semantic dominant appears. Grażyna Molik

Grażyna Molik (born August 13, 1960 in Gdańsk) - Polish athlete, sprinter, medalist of the Polish Championships, representative of Poland. Sports career She was a player at Lechia Gdańsk. Wacław Szymczak
