Wings for Life World Run

Running logo Wings for Life is an international charity event organized in 33 cities around the world. The income from the race is devoted to the study of spinal cord injury.

After some time after the start of the runners, a special "meta" car is running after them. Every participant who "catches up with the meta" finishes the race. The runner will be the last to reach the finish line and the longest distance to go.

In Poland, the course is organized in Poznan. In 2016, there were 3957 runners and Adam Malysz was behind the wheel of the car. The winners of this edition were: Tomasz Walerowicz with a distance of 71 km and 120 m and Agnieszka Janasiak with a distance of 39 km and 940 m. In the world, the best Pole was Bartosz Olszewski, who in the course of the race was 82 km and 411 m. on a global scale
