Polish Norms of Health
Polish Health Standards (marked PL-NZ) - national standards for products, services and systems, used voluntarily. The body creating and responsible for the organization of the entire national system of Polish Health Norms is the Central Standardization Center (CON), over which the National Public Health and Hygiene Center - Institute of Health in Warsaw is supervising. The PL-NZ standards are individualized, which means that in addition to the mandatory scope of attestation (specific for a given product, service or system), it can be extended with additional tests, which the certified party is interested in conducting. The documentation developed by CON creates a standard in terms of safety criteria for the health and life of the user / consumer that the product, service or system must meet.
Products, services or systems that meet the safety criteria are given the PL-NZ (Certificate of Compliance) certificate and can be marked with the PL-NZ mark.
Polish Health Standards are not identical to the Polish Standard (technical standard) for which the Polish Committee for Standardization is responsible.
Directives of the European Union The Central Standardization Center is the only national standardization body operating in accordance with the requirements of European law in the field of administrative and financial independence from any interest group, including government administration. Legal basis: art. 15, par. 2.6
