Most (film 1928)


(nid. De Brug) - Dutch dumb, short documentary from 1928 directed by Joris Ivens. One of the first films directed by this filmmaker was a success and contributed to his fame.

The film takes over 15 minutes and features the De Hef lift bridge in Rotterdam, which was commissioned in 1927. During the projection, lifting and lowering of a moving bridge span, trains running over a bridge, and ships moving under a raised span, as well as the structure of a bridge or operation of certain mechanisms.
