Manfred Gnädinger

Manfred Gnädinger (born 27 January 1936 in Radolfzell am Bodensee, December 28, 2002) Man or El Alman - German hermit and sculptor. He lived in the small village of Camelle on Costa da Morte, the Galician coast of the Atlantic Ocean.

He led a simple, natural life. On the beach where he lived and practiced his little garden, he made sculptures of stones and things thrown over the ocean. In this way a small museum was created which Man made available to visitors. When an environmental disaster occurred in November 2002, the MT Prestige oil spill, the Mana Museum and the nearby environment were destroyed. Man collapsed and after one month he died (28 December - Feast of Saints Martyrs), as some people think sad. In this way he became an innocent victim of oil spills and the same symbol of the martyr.
