Aszur-bunaja-usur

"Aszur-būnasā-uṣur", recorded as Aššur-though-aa-pap, "Aushur, guard my appearance!") - a high dignitary performing the office of Rabbi Shaka ("great anime"). during the rule of the Assyrian kings of Salmanasara III (858-824 BC) and Shamsi-Adad V (823-811 BC). Four times, at 855, 844, 825, and 816, p.n., he also held the office of Limm (eponima).

According to the Assyrian letters and chronicles of the eponymes, Ashur-bunaja-usur occupied the eponimium four times - three times during the reign of Salmanasar III (855, 844 and 825 BC) and once under the rule of Shamsi-Adad V (816 BC). The fact that both the eponym in 855 BC and the eponym in 816 BC bear the same title as the "great one". It seems that some time after 855 p.n.e. He could for some time cease to be a "big time", because in 838 he p.n.e. This title was already worn by another eponym, Ninurta-kibsi-usur. It was probably during this time that Ashur-bunaja-usur was the governor of one of the provinces, as in the Assyrian eponyms in the damaged entry for the year 844 p.n.e. It is presented as "Ashur-bunai, governor ..." (Aššur-mimo-a-a ša ...). It is unknown what title was occupied by Ashur-bunai-usur in 825 BC when he became eponim again (the text of the Assyrian eponym is damaged here). Bibliography
