Student Chronicle
Student Chronicle - an organization working at the Gdansk University of Technology, focusing on young people interested in photography. It was founded in 1958 thanks to the idea of activists of the Association of Polish Students and the support of the university authorities. The headquarters of the organization is located in the campus of PG "Bratniak".
Objectives of the organization Members of the organizationMembers of the organization, known as chroniclers, record college and tri-city student life, focusing on juvenile events, shakes, meetings and life events, concerts, scientific and cultural events. Many of the chroniclers have become recognized photographers and photojournalists. Those who later appeared in Polish photography include, among others.
Activity
The results of the work of the members of the Student Chronicle are popular and regularly published (every 10-14 days). Illustrated Student Magazine of the Gdansk University of Technology, currently presented in two showcases in the lobby of the main building of the Gdansk University of Technology, right from the entrance to the Main Library. From 1964, it was also possible to see its street edition, which was presented, among others. on bookstores at the corner of al. Grunwaldzka and ul. Miszewski and a photo shop at al. Grunwaldzka in Gdańsk-Wrzeszcz. The last street edition was published in 2001, at the Empik website opposite the Central Railway Station in Gdansk.
