He came from Karahisar in Iran. From 1596 he was trading in Lviv with the Armenian Armenians and accompanied Ottoman delegations to Poland. In the years 1601-1602, as a diplomatic envoy of King Sigismund III Vasa at the court of Abbas I, he discussed the plans of the anti-Turkish coalition. During his stay in Iran, he ordered and supervised the execution of tents, sabers, carpets and fabrics to decorate the Warsaw royal residence.

Upon his return to Poland, he was granted the privilege of importing oriental goods, court immunity and the title of royal supplier and servant. In the following years he settled in Zamość, and then Kamieniec Podolski.

After 1613, it was mentioned as a nobleman named Seweryn. The last mention of Muratowicz dates back to 1631.
