Ptolemy Reid

Ptolemy Reid (born May 8, 1912 in Dartmouth, British Guyana, died on September 2, 2003 in Georgetown) - a guianist politician, Prime Minister Guyana (1980-1984).

He studied veterinary at the Tuskegee Institute, later he worked in the profession. He was a deputy to the Congress of Guiana, in 1967 he was the minister of trade, 1967-1970 minister of finance, 1970-1972 minister of agriculture, and 1972-1974 minister of agriculture and national development.
