Jean Paulhan


Jean Paulhan (born 1884, died 1968) - French literary critic and essayist.

In the years 1925-1940 and again from 1953 he was the editor-in-chief of "La Nouvelle Reuve Française". During World War II he was active in the resistance movement, he was one of the founders of the "Comité National des Écrivains" and "Les Lettres Françaises". He is the author of literary criticism devoted to reflections on the language of literature; his most important publication is Les Fleurs de Tarbes from 1941. Bibliography
