veneering
Veneering - covering the surface - in the construction of walls, in dental prosthetics - (external or internal) other material - in the construction of tiles from tiles or plates (ceramic, glass, etc.) or bricks (eg clinker), prosthetics ceramic.
Veneering is done to improve the aesthetics of the surface and to protect it from external influences (abrasion, erosion).
In another sense, the word veneer can be used with respect to two elements whose surfaces retain one straight line - the elements face each other. Bibliography
