David Tiberius


Dawid Tiberius (Greek: Δαβίδ Τιβέριος, born November 7, 631 (according to other sources 627) probably in Constantinople, probably at the end of September 641 in Rhodes) - Byzantine co-minister at the side of his mother Martyna and half-brothers: Constantine III and Herakleonasa. Curriculum vitae

He was the eldest son of Emperor Heraclius and his second wife, Martyna. On July 4, 638, he received the title of Caesar. On May 25, 641, he was proclaimed emperor. After the overthrow of Herakleonas in November 641 he was deported with his mother to Rhodes, where he died soon. Bibliography
