Bojan Srot


Bojan Šrot (born February 9, 1960 in Celje) - Slovenian politician, lawyer and local government official, deputy minister of justice, longtime mayor of Celje, from 2007 to 2009 chairman of the Slovenian People's Party. Curriculum vitae

He graduated from high school in his hometown, and in 1985 he studied law at the University of Ljubljana. In 1989 he passed the professional exam, and then in 1991 he judged as a judge in Šmarje pri Jelšah. In 1991 he founded his own law firm.

In 1997 he became the secretary of state in the Ministry of Justice. In 1998, appointed the mayor of Celje, he was reelected as a result of the next local elections. He became involved in political activities in the framework of the Slovenian People's Party, from November 2007 to March 2009 he was the chairman of this group.
