Sirat

Sirat (Arabic سيرة) is a knightly romance, a form of popular Arab literature. Each of the sirats has many narrators and is focused on the main character, most often a famous figure in Arab history, such as the pre-Muslim knight and poet Antara Ibn Shaddad, princess Zat al-Himma, sultan Mamluk Az-Zahir Baybars and others. Usually, these are extremely large, hand-written works. (The prints began to appear only in the 20th century.) Sirat (Arabic صراط) is also in the Polish transcription of the bridge leading to Jainism, Islamic paradise.
