Flaithris son of Fiachrach
Flaithrey mac Fiachrach (d. 774) - king of the Cruithni people and Dál nAraidi from 741 to his death, probably son of Fiachry II Cossalach (d. 710), king Dál nAraidi. He was descended from a side line of the family settled in Mag nElili or Eilne ("Plain Defect"), the plain between the rivers Bann and Bush in the hr. Antrim. The book of Leinster is incorrectly placed as the successor of Cathussach mac Ailella (d. 749). In fact his predecessor was Indrechtach mac Lethlobair, who died in 741. Sources reported Flaithrón's death at 774. He probably died naturally. His successor was Cináed I Ciarrge mac Cathussaig (776), son of Cathassach III mac Ailella, king Dál nAraidi and Ulaidu.
