The king fell in love with her at first sight and asked her for a hand. The princess could not answer but nodded her approval. He was married. However, the king's mother hated her daughter and began to accuse her of various wrongs. The princess, unable to speak, could not defend herself. And the lack of a smile, according to the queen, meant he had an unclean conscience. Eventually the king believed his mother and ordered the pile to be prepared. When it began to smoke, twelve crows fled from the sky and began to extinguish the flame and protect the princess. Then the ravens turned into youths. It turned out that it was seven years since their transformation, and the princess with her persistent silence took the spell from them.
