Tommy Waidelich
Karl (Tommy) Waidelich (born 13 September 1963 in Stockholm) is a Swedish politician, longtime deputy to the Riksdag, Member of the European Parliament for the fourth term. Curriculum vitae
He worked as a postman, studied geography and economics at the University of Stockholm, was a political secretary in the administration of the Södertälje municipality.
An activist of the Swedish Social Democratic Labor Party. as president of the youth organization of the SSU Social Democrats in Stockholm. In 1991 he was deputy parliamentarian in the national parliament, in 1994 he became deputy to the Riksdag. In 1995, after the accession of Sweden to the European Union, he assumed the mandate of the MEPs of the fourth term of office as a national delegation. He also held the first general election in the same year. In the European Parliament he was part of the socialist factions. He left the EP in 1998 in connection with the re-election to the Riksdag, where he served for four terms until 2014. From 2011 to 2012, he served as a spokesman for the Social Democrats for Economic Policy.
