SS Cygni

SS Cygni - a double star in the constellation of the Swan, consisting of a white dwarf and a lighter red dwarf, the material of which falls on the white dwarf formation disk accretion. The stars circulate for a period of 6.6 hours. Periodically (every ~ 49 days) there is a flare that increases the brightness of the system, which is accompanied by radio frequency emission. It was discovered in 1896.

The system belongs to a group of new dwarfs, located at a distance of 370 light-years from Earth.
