Karl Johan Granath (born March 4, 1950 in Köping) is a Swedish fast skater, two-time world medalist. Career

Johan Granath's greatest success came in 1976, when he won the gold medal at the Berlin World Cup sprint. In these competitions, he was directly ahead of two US delegates: Dan Immerfall and Peter Mueller. Two years later, the Lake Placid World Championship was the third, losing only to American Erik Heiden and Frode Rønning from Norway. In the same competition was also the fifth in the world championships in Gothenburg in 1975 and the sixth in the world championships in Oslo in 1973. In 1972, he took part in the Sapporo Olympics, finishing sixteenth in the 500 and 1,000 meter races. The four years later, the four games in Innsbruck were thirteen. He also participated in the Olympic Games in Lake Placid, where he finished 36th in the 500 m race after falling. He also turned over in the 1000 m race, not ending the rivalry. His career ended in 1984, after being caught on doping and suspended for 18 months.

After completing his active career, he became a trainer. His brother, Oloph Granath, was also a panchen. Bibliography
