Nao Deguchi
Nao Deguchi (Japan, Deguchi Nao, born 1836 - died 1918) is the founder of the ōmoto sect. Deguchi was the daughter of a carpenter from Fukuchiyama village near Kyoto. In 1855 she married Shōgorō Deguchi. She gave birth to 11 children. She was a member of the concubine sect. Since 1892 she has been ecstatic. She wrote her experiences and contacts with the deity. His relationship was developed and completed by his son-in-law, Onisaburō Deguchi (he himself was experiencing revelations). Bibliography
