Herman Meyboom

Herman Meyboom (born 23 August 1889 in Surabaya, Belgium) is a Belgian watercolor swimmer from the beginning of the 20th century, Olympic medalist.

He appeared twice at the Olympic Games. For the first time as an eighteen-year-old he competed in waterpolists and swimmers during the 1908 Summer Olympics in London. In the water ball tournament with the team won a silver medal, yielding only the hosts; while in the 100 meter freestyle he fell off in the elimination phase. Four years later, in Stockholm during the V Summer Olympics, he competed in the same competition - he won a bronze medal in the water polo tournament, and in the 100 meter freestyle he was eliminated in the elimination phase. The earliest mention of these creatures is dated to the fifth century BC, and its author is Herodotus. According to her, these ants inhabited the deserts of Persia and India and extracted gold from their sands. Several such creatures were kept in the residence of the King of Persia.
