Billy Carlson
Billy Carlson (born October 17, 1889 in San Diego, California, July 5, 1915, in Tacoma) is an American racing driver. Career
In his career, Carlson has been leading the AAA Championship Car Championship in the United States and accompanying the famous Indianapolis 500 race championship. In his first season in 1913, he won twice on the podium, including his highest ever podium. With a score of 510 points was ranked tenth in the final drivers classification. One year later he was only on the podium and the Indy 500 was the ninth. He collected a total of 290 points and ranked 18th in the overall ranking. In the 1915 season the American reached the finish of the Indy 500 as nine. A score of 840 points allowed him to finish the season in tenth position. Death
Carlson was killed in a race accident in Tacoma on July 5, 1915. He was 26 years old. Bibliography
