Beskidy Pokuckie


Hutsul Beskids is a mountain range in the Carpathian Mountains, Ukraine, the northwestern part of the Pokrzyko-Bukowińskie Beskids. The area is located between the valleys of Prut and Cheremosh. From the west border with the Gorgan, from the east with the Bucki Beskids, from the south with Czarnohora and the Hłonniawskie Połoninami. In the north, the Prut and Cheremosu valleys are designated. The highest peak is Rotylo (1485 m).

The flywheel band consists of parallel bands separated by river valleys. Beech and beech woodland are predominant, in higher parts of the połoniny. Previously, oil, gas, salt, lignite and iron ore were mined in this area. Bibliography
