Alfieri Maserati
Alfieri Maserati (born 23 September 1887 in Voghera, March 3, 1932 in Bologna) is an Italian racing driver and engineer. Founder of the Maserati automotive company. Career
In 1903, Alfieri and his brother Bindo started work at Isotta Fraschini in Milan. After several years of work he was sent to Argentina, after returning from which he founded Società Anonima Officine Alfieri Maserati in Milan. During the First World War, the company was involved in the production of military parts. After the war, the headquarters were moved to Bologna.
In the 1920s he took part in selected car races. In 1921 he finished fourth in the Grand Prix Gentlemen and Circuito di Mugello. A year later, he won his only victory - in the Circuito di Mugello race. He died in 1932 due to complications after the accident. Bibliography
