RIMM (Rambus Inline Memory Module) - a type of computer memory modules on which integrated circuits with RDRAM type memories are placed. RIMM modules appeared in 1996 under patent agreements between Rambus and Intel.

Most popular RIMM bones:

RIMM 16-bit modules on motherboards must be mounted in pairs. 32-bit modules can be installed individually. Any unused memory slot on the motherboard must be terminated with a terminator.

RIMM memory modules are equipped with a heat sink, necessary to remove excess heat. After less than one year of production, they were withdrawn due to license fees and lower than intended efficiency.
