Let's face Eger

Feliksa Eger (born in 1835 in Przasnysz, died April 5, 1908 in Zakopane) - Polish literary, historian and librarian.

She was a librarian in Wilanów often turning in the social circles of Warsaw. She published historical texts and mainly dealt with the history of Freemasonry. In the 1990s, she moved to Zakopane. Together with her family she ran a "Fortunka" guesthouse on Bystre. They hosted her, among others Maria Skłodowska-Curie, Mieczysław Karłowicz, Kazimierz Dłuski and Tadeusz Miciński. She submitted reports and letters about Zakopane's life to various Polish magazines. In 1894, she published in the Anczyca publishing house in Krakow a monumental work entitled "The history of secret societies: The history of Freemasonry (Masonry). During the uprising, it was considered the most exhausting Polish publication of freemasons and had three editions.

Buried in the New Cemetery in Zakopane (as one of the first people), but her grave did not survive until now - it was dug up and Jarema Rdułtowski, who died during climbing on the Młyguszów peak, falls in her place.
