Andrzej Jakubowicz
Andrzej Jakubowicz (born January 28, 1958 in Rymanów) - Polish table tennis player, medalist of the World and European Championships, multiple medalist of the Polish championship. Sports career
He is a ward of Siarka Tarnobrzeg, from 1976 he performed at AZS-AWF Gdańsk (until 1981 under the name AZS-WSWF Gdańsk). In the 80s he went to France and represented French clubs.
He represented Poland at the World Senior Championships in 1981, 1983 and 1985, and the Senior Citizens' Championships in 1978, 1980, 1984 and 1986. In 1985 he became the bronze medalist of the World Cup in the team tournament (with Andrzej Grubba, Leszek Kucharski and Stefan Dryszel, the reserve was Norbert Mnich) - he only played in one meeting, in 1984 he became the European runner-up in the team tournament (with A. Grubba, L. Kucharski and S. Dryszel, substitute was P. Molenda), in 1986 he was bronze medalist of the European championships in the team tournament (with A. Grubba, L. Kucharski and S. Dryszel). At the world championship in 1980, he won the doubles championship (with A. Grubba) and in the team tournament (with A. Grubba and L. Kucharski), and in 1984 he won the silver medal in the team tournament (with A. Grubba, L. Kucharski and T. Klimkowski) and silver in a double game (with A. Grubba), and in 1985 won together with the AZS AWF Gdańsk Klub Mistrzów Cup (with A. Grubba and L. Kucharski)
