Alternate Phratora
Phrator alternata - species of beetle from the daffodil family and Chrysomelinae subfamily.
The tan species was described in 2007 by Igor K. Lopatina.
Beetle with longitudinal oval, highly shiny body about 3.6 mm long. Metallically colored gold with red pygidium and the final margin of the last sternite abdomen, with dark brown legs and black antennae with red: the second, under the first and the third. The head is thick and densely scored. The lateral edges are twice as wide as the long one and are slightly rounded and its base is not protected. The front edge extends deeply and the front angles are strongly protruding. Slightly rounded covers with regular rows of large and deep points. Male with bifurcated edeagus.
Insect known only from Gansu in China.
