Sander Loones

Sander Loones (born 26 January 1979 in Veurne) is a Belgian and Flemish politician, lawyer and party activist, Member of the European Parliament for the eighth term. Curriculum vitae

He completed his law studies at the Dutch-speaking Catholic University of Leuven. He worked in the state administration as an official dealing with migration and asylum matters, and then worked as a consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Later, he became a permanent member of the New Flemish Alliance (a group in which his father, Jan Loones, also participated). He was appointed the coordinator of the science party.

He was elected to the 2014 European Parliament. On October 14, 2014, he was elected deputy to the Federal Government, Johan Van Overtveldt. He joined the factions of the European Conservatives and Reformists.
