The maritime areas of the Republic of Poland are:

Polish maritime areas are defined in the Act of 21 March 1991 on Maritime Areas of the Republic of Poland and Maritime Administration.

Marine waters and territorial sea form part of the territory of the Republic of Poland and form an integral part of the territory of the Republic of Poland. Poland exercises full jurisdiction over these areas, reduced only by the right to the innocuous flow of ships and ships in the territorial sea. Submarines and other underwater means of transport of foreign countries are obliged to pass through the territorial sea on the surface and with the flag raised.

The territorial jurisdiction of the Republic of Poland over territorial waters and territorial waters extends to the waters, airspace over these waters and to the seabed of internal waters and territorial sea, as well as to the interior of the land beneath them. As a result, the construction or use of artificial islands, structures, facilities or wind power plants requires permission to locate them and determine the conditions for their use in these areas. The laying of cables and pipelines in the internal waters of the territorial sea and in the territorial sea also requires authorization to establish the location and the conditions for their maintenance.

The area of ​​the Polish exclusive economic zone is 22,595 km², the area of ​​the territorial sea is 8783 km², and the area of ​​the internal sea water depends on the changing position of the coastline.
