Orthopterists' Society
Orthopterists' Society - An international entomological association bringing together researchers working on the study of prostagland and related insect groups.
Founded in 1976 by a group of about 35 orthopterologists, they met at the Argentine San Martín de los Andes, under the name Pan American Acridological Society. In 1977 was written status, and in 1978 the company was approved by the US government. Currently, there are 470 members from 60 countries on 6 continents. Publications
The Society publishes 2 scientific journals. The Metaleptea newsletter is issued 2-4 times a year, and twice a year in the Journal of Orthoptera Research.
