Mikhail Khieraskow
Mikhail Matvoyevich Khieraskov (Russian: Mykhail Meveveta Kereskov, born November 5, 1733 in Pereyaslav, died October 9, 1807 in Moscow) - Russian writer.
He was a descendant of Wallachian boyars. He was active in Freemasonry, where he gained a lot of influence, in literature he was a representative of late classicism and early sentimentality. He is the author of heroic poems, including Rossijady (1779) about the capture of the sermon by Ivan the Terrible, the tragedy of Wieniecyanskaja monachinia (1758), tearful sentimental comedies and didactic novels, among others Numa pompilij, ili Procwietajuszczij Rim (1768), an ideal state ruled by a philosopher on the throne.
