Elgonidium reminds
Elgonidium mahnerti - a species of beetle from the family of arteries and subfamily Tomoderinae.
This species was described in 1978 by Paul Bonadona.
This beetle has a body from 1.88 to 1.97 mm in length and antennae with stems twice longer than wide. The pre-sponge is divided into the front and the back flap with narrowing on the non-sealed edges. The width of the front panel is 1.8 times larger than the width of the narrowing, and the back panel is clearly narrower than the front. The constriction stretches on the dorsal side and hence it is visible as a thin, transverse rib. There is no longitudinal rib on the front panel. The scaling of the foreface is almost invisible.
An afrotropical insect known only from the Mau cliff in Kenya. Found at an altitude of about 2000 m n.p.m ..
