Vladimir Tieriebiłow


Vladimir Ivanovich Tierstein (Russian: Владимир Иванович Теребилов, born March 18, 1916 in Petrograd, died May 3, 2004 in Moscow) - Soviet lawyer and politician, Minister of Justice of the USSR (1970-1984). Curriculum vitae

Initially he was a pupil of a doctor, 1933-1935 he studied in high school, 1935-1939 studied at the Leningrad Institute of Law, after graduation he became prosecutor of the pargołowski district in the Leningrad region. From 1940 a member of the WKP (b), 1943-1945 head of the police department of the Leningrad District Prosecutor's Office, 1945-1948 prosecutor of the Leningrad region, 1948-1949 head of the Leningrad district prosecutor's office. 1949-1953 senior researcher of the Scientific-Research Institute of Criminology, 1953-1957 department head of this institute, since 1954 candidate of legal science, then docent. 1957-1961 deputy head of the Investigative Board of the USSR Prosecutor's Office, 1961-1962 head of the Department of Supervision of Investigation in the Criminal Courts of the USSR Prosecutor's Office, 1962-1970 deputy chairman of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR. From September 1970 to April 1984 the Minister of Justice of the USSR, from April 1984 to April 1989 President of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR, then retired. From April 9, 1971 to February 24, 1976, member of the Central Committee of the CPSU, from March 5, 1976 to February 25, 1986, deputy member, and 1986-1990 member of the Central Committee of the CPSU.
