Hochfeder's printing house
Hochfeder Printing House - the first permanent printing house in Poland in Krakow in 1503-1505 by Kaspra Hochfeder.
Kasper Hochfeder, a German printer working in Metz in the years 1498-1501, printed books for Jan Haller (Questiones de anima Jan from Głogów). Before 1503 Hochfeder moved to Cracow where he ran his own printing house. It was in the years 1503-1505 at the house of Jan Haller. In September 1505 the printing house was taken over by Haller, while Hochfeder was working there 1508 or 1509. In Hochfeder's prints, 32 books appeared, mostly textbooks for the liberal arts and liturgical books (eg Missale Vratislaviense, 1505). Bibliography
