He was born in an Adyghe peasant family. In 1938 he graduated from the Adygai pedagogical school and became a teacher, from 1939 he served in the Red Army, in 1941 he graduated from the military school of infantry. From June 24, 1941, he participated in the war with Germany, successively as commander of the platoon, company and battalion on the Northern Front, Wołchowski, Centralna, Briański and 1 Belorussian, from 1942 he belonged to the WKP (b). In 1941 he took part in the fighting at Kandalaksza, in 1942 in the fighting in Karelia - south of the city of Bielow, in 1943 in the battle of Kursk and liberation of Wołchów, in 1944 in forcing the Bug, liberation of Chełm and capturing the Pulawski bridgehead on the Vistula, and in 1945 in the Vistula-Oder operation and the liberation of Radom, Łódź, Poznań, the Berlin operation and the Battle of Seelow. He was wounded five times, in April 1945 it was hard, and as a result he became a war invalid. He especially distinguished himself as the commander of the battalion when breaking the opponent's defense on the west bank of the Vistula at the Puławski bridgehead on 14 January 1945.
