Aszer Chasin


Asher Chasin (Hebrew: אשר חסין, English: Asher Hassin, born July 7, 1918 in Casablanca, died March 27, 1995) - Israeli teacher, journalist and politician, in the years 1959-1969, a member of the Knesset from a letter Mapai and Coalition of Work. Curriculum vitae

He was born on July 7, 1918 in Casablanca in then-French Morocco. He graduated from a teacher's seminar, he was a leader of the Zionist Federation in Morocco, and also chairman of several other organizations of Moroccan Jews and editor of the newspaper "Ha-Awiw".

In 1948 he emigrated to Israel. In the 1959 parliamentary election, he first entered the Israeli parliament from the Mapai list. He sat in the Knesset IV, V and VI term, and in the last term from the list of the Labor Coalition.

He died on March 27, 1995.
