Vincent Arnold
Wincenty Józef Arnold (born 5 December 1864 in Olomouc, died in 1942 in Lviv) is a Polish biochemist.
He graduated from Lviv University, continued his studies at the Faculty of Medicine of the Jagiellonian University and at the University of Leipzig. After graduating, he moved to Lvov, where he began work in a general hospital. In 1909 he became the head of the infectious disease department, conducting research between 1906 and 1911, on the basis of which he determined that the reaction of the protein resulting from the use of nitroprusside soda corresponds to that of the tank. He found that the strength of this reaction depends on the number of sulfhydryl groups that can react. In 1926 he was retired, since 1930 he was a correspondent of the Polish Academy of Arts.
