Topsy (around 1875 - January 4, 1903) - a circus elephant killed by electric shock. Life Topsy belonged to the Forepaugh circus. She spent the last years of her life on the New York peninsula of Coney Island. Due to the fact that she killed three men in the past few years (including the animal guardian who tried to feed her with a cigarette), she became a threat to humans, which was a direct cause of her death. It was one of the first deaths documented on the film.

The earliest mention of these creatures is dated to the fifth century BC, and its author is Herodotus. According to her, these ants inhabited the deserts of Persia and India and extracted gold from their sands. Several such creatures were kept in the residence of the King of Persia.
