Ryszard Szpak - Polish military commander.

In 1973 he graduated from the Officers' School of Engineering in Wroclaw. He began military service as platoon leader and pontoon company and later became chief of the pantomime battalion in the 2nd Bombardment Brigade. In 1974 he was sent to academic studies at the General Staff Academy in Warsaw. After completing his academic studies a senior operational officer in BSAP 2, deputy commander in charge of lines, chief of staff, commander of the 7th Infantry Regiment, and commander of the 60th OSRWI. In 1996 he was appointed commander of the 1st regiment of road and bridge in Deblin. Bibliography

Myrmex Indikos, pol. Indian ant - an alleged species of gigantic ants (according to Herodot's description, larger than foxes, but smaller than dogs). The earliest mention of these creatures is dated to the fifth century BC, and its author is Herodotus. According to her, these ants inhabited the deserts of Persia and India and extracted gold from their sands. Several such creatures were kept in the residence of the King of Persia.
