Jean Gaupillat
Jean Gaupillat (born 6 January 1891 in Paris, died July 22, 1934 in Dieppe) is a French racing driver. Career
In his racing career, Gaupillat has devoted himself to racing in the Grand Prix and in sports car racing. In 1929, he won the Grand Prix Dieppe in the Bugatti T35B. Two years later, he finished second in the Grand Prix de la Baule. In the years 1931-1932 the Frenchman appeared at the European Championship of the AIACR. In the first season of the season, fourteen points came in the ninth overall. A year later, 23 points earned him 22nd place in the final drivers classification. Season 1933 was unsuccessful for him. He did not finish any race. The following season was the seventh in Eifelrennen. He died in an accident at the Grand Prix Dieppe when his car hit the tree. Bibliography
