Михаил Алексеевич Алексеев (born in 1897 in Kharkiv, died 16 May 1943 in the USSR) - recruiter of the Active Army of the Ukrainian People's Army, then the Red Army, deputy starost and head of the Passport Collaborative Branch of the Swat Area Administration during World War II

In 1919 he joined the army of the Ukrainian atamana Symon Petlura. In 1921 he was interned in Poland. In 1922 he returned to Ukraine. He graduated from university. After the German invasion of the USSR on June 22, 1941, he was mobilized to the Red Army in November this year. He served in the 467th Air Assault Battalion. In July 1942 he was captured by the Germans, from which he managed to escape, and then he came to the occupied Swatow. Germany appointed him deputy district governor of the district. At the same time, he was the head of the passport branch of the Swat district administration. He co-founded the Ukrainian national organization Proswit, forming part of the regional leadership. At the end of January 1943, with the German troops evacuated west, but was captured by the Soviets. In mid-April this year he was sentenced to death, executed by 16 May.
