International Deposit Insurance Coalition
International Association of Deposit Insurers (IADI) - an independent organization of deposit guarantee institutions from around the world. It was established in 2002 at the Bank for International Settlements in Basel (Switzerland).
IADI promotes international cooperation in the field of deposit guarantee and develops international standards to improve the efficiency of deposit guarantee institutions. It also contributes to strengthening the stability of financial systems in the world.
IADI is a non-profit organization established under Swiss law. The IADI was founded by the Financial Stability Forum (FSF) in 2000. The working group was formed following the findings of the Deposit Insurance Study Group, which the FSF created in 1999. In 2009, IADI, along with the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision, developed the "Core Principles for Effective Deposit Insurance Systems". A list of basic guidelines for deposit guarantee institutions and their relationship with other financial security network entities.
The primary objective of IADI is to contribute to the stability of financial systems by promoting international co-operation in the field of deposit insurance and developing contacts between depository institutions worldwide and other interested institutions, including financial safety net institutions. IADI will develop international standards to improve the efficiency of deposit guarantee systems, taking into account the diversity of national system solutions. Bibliography
