As a child, she attended a music school. In 1992 she graduated from the school and joined the Krsmanac choir, where she sang for the next two years. In 1994, she joined Moby Dick and gained fame, releasing three albums with her band. However, in 1998 she left the band and released her debut solo album Metar and Asphalt, which achieved great success in Serbia and the former Yugoslavia. Sam's song from this album was translated a few years later into Polish by Luisa Staniec and sung by Ewelina Flinta under the title "I regret", also becoming a hit. A few months after the release of Stanic's debut album, Vidim te kad was released, which also hit popularity records. Her albums are no longer so successful. discography
