In October 1942 he was introduced into the ranks of the Home Army by Ryszard Rojaj, pseud. "Waligóra." Initially, he was a liaison between the District Command and other units in the field delivering mail, inter alia, to the AK regions in Krzeszów, Frampol, Tarnogród and reports and medicines from the hospital in Biłgoraj. Over time, the work of the connector began to combine with intelligence activities. On September 24, 1943, he took part in the action of re-entering prisoners from the prison in Biłgoraj. In August 1944 he was arrested by the NKVD, but managed to escape. On November 29, 1944, he was arrested by UB officers, and then on January 28, 1945, he was freed by Konrad Bartoszewski's unit, pseud. "Whirl."

After the war, he served in the Independent Communications Pact in Zgierz and then in the Central Communication Workshop in Pruszków. After returning to his native Biłgoraj, he started working in the municipal power plant, retiring in 1982. In 1999 he became a member of the World Union of Home Army Soldiers, and from 2003 he was the president of the ŚZŻAK District Circle in Biłgoraj. In 2015 he was appointed Major. Selected badges
