Nikolay Chrienkov
Jorge Luis Burruchaga, also known as El Burru (born 9 October 1962 in Gualeguay, Province of Entre Ríos, Argentina) is an Argentinian footballer who plays as a striker or attacking midfielder, currently a football coach. Football career
Jorge Burruchaga started his professional club career in 1979 at the Arsenal de Sarandí club of Avellaneda, in the province of Buenos Aires. In 1982 he went to the famous Independiente Buenos Aires, where, playing until 1985, he played 146 matches and scored 53 goals. Together with the club from the capital of the country he won the 1983 championship, while in 1984 the Copa Libertadores (who became the goalkeeper with 6 goals) and the Intercontinental Cup. In 1985 he moved to Europe where his first club was the French club FC Nantes, playing in Ligue 1. He spent seven years at the Nantes club. At the time, he played with Argentina on two World Cups. The first time in 1986, when he and his team played Diego Maradona won the world championship, scoring a goal in the final match against West Germany, a 3-2 win. At the 1990 World Cup he played in all matches, including a 0-1 defeat to the German national team. In 1992 he left FC Nantes for the Ligue 1 Valenciennes FC team. He has played in the French league 172 times and scored 37 goals. In 1993 he returned to Argentina, where he played again from 1995 to 1998 on Independiente. In 2002, Burruchaga took up the job of the Arsenal de Sarandí coach after their promotion to the 1st division. His task was to keep the team in the elite. Since 2005/2006 he is the coach of the team Estudiantes La Plata, playing in the Primera División Argentina.
