Elżbieta Branicka
Elżbieta Ksaweryna Branicka of the Korczak coat of arms (born 1792, died 1880) - Polish aristocrat, wife of Michał Woroncowa.
She was the daughter of Franciszek Ksawery Branicki, Grand Crown Hetman and later market-maker, and Aleksandra von Engelhardt. In 1819, she was married to Michał Woroncow, one of the richest and most influential people in Russia. From this marriage two children, son Siemion (1823-1882) and daughter Zofia (1825-1879) came into the world. In her honor in 1829 a pale pink rose was bred. In Odessa she met Alexander Puszkin, who was in exile in the years 1824-1827, she became an addressee, muse and heroine of his lyrical poems (eg: Flamed letter, Talisman) friendship and the poet survived to the end of his life.
