Andrzej Buczkowski


Andrzej Buczkowski (born November 24, 1938 in Cracow) is a Polish lawyer, advocate and member of the Court of State. Curriculum vitae

In 1961 he graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration at the Jagiellonian University. He was a judge and advocate. In 1966 he began his practice as a lawyer based in Olkusz and then in Cracow. He was a member of the ORA and the Chief Advocate Council. After the introduction of martial law he was a defender of political processes, defending Edward Nowak. He was a member of the Cracow Law Enforcement Committee and an expert of the Sejm's Extraordinary Commission to investigate the activities of the Ministry of Interior.

In 2005, on the recommendation of the Civic Platform, he was elected a Member of the State Tribunal. This function was held until 2007.

In 2015, he was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta.
