U-308 - German submarine (U-Boot) type VIIC from World War II. She entered service in 1942. The only commander was Oblt. Karl Mühlenpfordt. History

The ship was included in the 8th U-Boat Flotilla (Gdansk) to train and crew. June 1943 as a combat unit in the 6th Flotilla. U-303 was sunk during her first combat patrol launched on 29 May 1943 in Kiel. On June 4, 1943, north of the Faroe Islands (Norwegian Sea), the unit was detected by a British submarine HMS "Truculent", which fired six torpedoes at her. As a result of the attack, the entire 44-person U-boat crew was killed. Bibliography
