KOKO (club)


KOKO - a music club that used to be a theater in the Camden Town district of London. Until 2004, the building was known as Camden Palace. After a general renovation carried out by Oliver Bengough and his Mint Entertainment company, the club is called KOKO and is considered one of the most prestigious concert venues in London.

The club was opened under the name Camden Theater in Boxing Day in 1900. It had 2434 seats on four levels and thanks to that outside the West End was the largest theater in London. Currently its capacity is only 1410 places.

There were many world-renowned artists in the club, including Red Hot Chili Peppers, Madonna, Christina Aguilera, Prince, Coldplay, Katy B, Mr. Big, Oasis, Bruno Mars, Amy Winehouse, La Roux, Lady Gaga, The Killers, Katy Perry.

Polish musicians and bands who gave concerts in KOKO included: Maryla Rodowicz, Budek Suflera, Golec uOrkiestra, Agnieszka Chylińska, Dawid Podsiadło.
